Couple of things:
In about a week, I'll be going to Europe for a soccer trip, and I'll be gone until around June 4th. I won't be able to do much on dA between now and then, because I'll be packing/speed training. So just giving everyone the heads up.

I've been tagged to do things by a couple of people, but I've been pretty busy lately, so I don't know when I'll get to them. I just wanted to make a quick journal about Twilight, because after I read this by makani [link] I think I've been completely turned off the series. I mean, I always hated Bella and Edward, but when you break down her writing like that, it's kind of sad. But I definitely feel Twilight was the worst of the series. I'll still probably read Breaking Dawn, and go see the movie... it's definitely going to be so bad-it's-good kind of thing. (Like the Eragon movie rofl) I mean, I was reading some more of the script, and I came across this scene:

Victoria lasciviously grabs James' shirt.
VICTORIA: I love it when men chase me.
He grins, then starts taking off her clothes. The pull each other towards the woods with carnal lust. It barely registers with Laurent, who watches the posse with concern.

Okay, here comes that time I’ve been dreading since I first posted this contest… picking the winners. Now, I judged this contest via cell phone with my sister and her two friends that were visiting. So the important thing to remember here is that if you don’t like the outcome, blame them.

As soon as I saw this entry, I knew it would place. It's gorgeous, even though it's in a style that I don't usually prefer. Although our other judges said that Snape was "too good-looking", you have to admit the piece is beautiful, and even better when you hit "download"! I couldn't be happier to award Lorey a 3 month subscription.

Runner Up (Tie)

"Marauders in a Kitchen" by *Atelierdereve
While this isn't as popular as the other two winners, it was certainly popular with our judges. Even ~kickz516 who pretty much hates anything with James Potter in it called to tell me that this should place. (I guess she couldn't resist James banging around those pots and pans.) Anyway, it really captures the spirit of the young Marauders, and is definitely deserving of a 3 month subscription!

Bonus Prize

But I was biting my lip because when I first started the contest, I was dying for someone to draw them at Three Broomsticks! So I decided to put both of them in. I especially love the fact that Lily is engaged at school like I fantasized they would.


God, I wish I had another place for this entry, because I love it so much. Need I say why? No, probably not.
