I saw Catching Fire last night and I'm so in the mood to talk about it

It was so good
Josh Hutcherson is short but he is a pretty good actor
But I like Gale better and we got 3 kisses??? Gale/Katniss was way played up

Also Finnick looked kinda terrible in the promo photos but he worked it out on screen, also Mags was perfect (and she was prob syked when she read the script and saw she got to kiss Finnick on the mouth, u go Mags)

They stuck to the book so well, but I hope that doesn't mean gonna do the same thing for Mockingjay, because they need to change everything. Finnick and Prim can't die. Also I just want it to not be depressing and have a lame ending for Gale. I think they should take that flirting scene between Johanna and Gale and run with it. Make them wind up together. Jena Malone will probably kill that scene and everyone will be shipping them anyway.

I dont think I even have any criticisms? Maybe Effie Trinket... her outfits look like student projects to me and theyre too over the top... obviously they're supposed to be over the top, but its still supposed to be an ensemble that you could put together on an everyday basis by yourself. Elizabeth Banks overacts also... Stanley Tucci does it much better... hes over dramatic but his acting is convincing.

Hi guys

My dream of going to Disney and HP world is finally happening. I'm probably going to spend 3 or 4 days in Disney, and 1 day in HP world. I got a lot of travel rewards from working in Canada all summer, so my flight and hotel (which isn't in the park, it's a mile away) is free.

DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY TIPS FOR ME OR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PLACES TO EAT

I'M SO EXCITED

Hello everyone, I realize it's been ages since my last journal entry, so I just wanted to update so people know I'm still active.

Maybe some of you saw this, but I made this fake imdb page for a Marauders BBC show and posted it on tumblr. It was just supposed to be a joke/fantasy, but apparently a lot of people bought it

(You'll notice there are lots of things that give it away, however)



But maybe one day, if we badger enough producers, it will be a reality

I just saw it. I loved it. It was so much better adapted than the Harry Potter movies were! Granted this story was much easier to water down than Harry Potter, but I'm not really here to make comparisons.

So here are things I liked:
• They did a great job of juxtaposing District 12 with the futuristic technology and styling of the Capitol. Jennifer and Josh were great together, and Liam did a good job of giving longing gazes. I thought they were gonna give him a bigger role? Idk what happened, but I was glad they stayed so true to the book.
• I loved the scene they added with Rue stealing Cato's knife in training! God she was so precious and even though I had accepted her death I kept praying that she would stay alive somehow.
• I also loved the additional scenes with Snow and Seneca Crane, where they gave more insight into the motivation to have a winner, which placed more emphasis on why Katniss' double suicide plan was successful. I loved all the gamemaker scenes (although whoa, those fireballs were a bit larger than apples.)
• I'm glad they didn't overdo the kissing, we got one big kiss and that was enough tbh. And I got my Gale reaction shot, yay.
• I loved Thresh and Foxface… Thresh was pretty much 100% how I saw him in the books… I wanted to know how he died though! Did the Mutts get him or was it Cato?
• Also Stanley Tucci was fantastic. (Even though I always pictured Ceasar as a blue haired Anil Kapoor, he was great.)

Things I didn't like:
• I'm not sure how I feel about them making the Careers a bit meaner… like Glimmer mocking that girl's death, ew. I guess it's so we don't feel as sorry when they die, but I would've preferred them making more sympathetic… well they did that with Cato, so I guess it's all good.
• We weren't given anything on how the Mockingjays are a symbol of rebellion, I don't think… they'll do more on it later probably.
• The ending could've been better. I think everyone can agree on that. We don't really knows where Katniss and Peeta stand at the end.

Pretty minor complaints… overall it was fantastic and I can't wait for Catching Fire.
