Deathly Hallows movie spoilers, headed your way
Okay I'm super tired and my brain hasn't yet recovered from the numerous times it exploded from that epic movie but I'm going to try to jot down some thoughts for you to agree/disagree with.
Best HP movie to date, y/y? To me, isn't the first one that felt like a cohesive film rather than just going chapter by chapter.
Things that rocked:
The seven Potters, how awesome was Hagrid driving that motorbike?
I loved the part at the Ministry, I thought they chose great actors to portray them because they really resembled them and made it easy to follow. Ron kissing Reg's wife, that was too funny
Neville and Cormac's little cameos, I was so glad they worked them in there. "My father will hear about this" haha NO DUH
THE TALE OF THREE BROTHERS. That was perfection. I love that story so much, it's so beautiful, and it always has meant so much to me... I couldn't believe that not only did they not eff it up, they made it even more beautiful with that animation. I always was so amazed with the way JKR wrote that story... I loved how it followed the traditional structure of a fairy tale but it had so much more meaning, and it didn't feel forced-- I'm not sure if I'm properly explaining what I mean but it's just great. My only concern in the movie was that Harry did not put together that he was related to one of the brothers and the cloak was a hallow... I mean, they probably will get there eventually, but I wanted to see it NOW.
Snape's entrance to Malfoy Manor gave me chills, he was so awesome, if only for a brief time. I am so freaking pumped for The Prince's Tale, if they eff it up as bad as they did to Snape's Worst Memory I will certainly die.
Hermione looked really pretty and I actually did not find Emma Watson annoying at all in this movie. It took 7 movies, but the girl finally learned to act.
She was so good in the scene with Bellatrix!
Things that were bad (or things about the Marauders that they cut out):
WTF I wanted a Remus freakout wtf wtf. Does Harry and them even know that Remus and Tonks got married? Or that they have a baby? Is Harry going to be super confused when his son tells him about this strange blue haired kid who is making out with his cousin? IDEK Part 2 you better come through on this one.
Also Sirius' room. I wanted to see some bikini clad Muggle girls. Marauder photos. LILY'S LETTER.
Would've liked more on Regulus' story, but at least they didn't ignore it.
WHERE WAS LILY AND JAMES' STATUE THAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING COME ON.
And that's about it, right? OH and I saw more skin on Dan Rad and Bonnie Wright than I EVER wanted to see.
ONE MORE THING I PROMISE lol at Ron and Harry during the silver doe scene. "Harry was that your Patronus?" "No." "Okay well that wasn't totally weird or anything, let's just continue like that doe didn't even happen." WHUT.
TL;DR it was amazing and I loved it. Is it July yet?
