Oh dA. What are you doing to me right now. First off, you added that little 'See more from' feature, which means I'm going to have to completely reorganize/redo/burn half my gallery. Then, I find a drawing of mine that someone ripped off, and you mark my violation report invalid. INVALID. And the original artist ignored me, so I guess there's nothing I can do about that. I'm not too frazzled by that though- people don't rip off my stuff too often. I guess it's a good thing I'm not a better artist. I think I might feel different if it were my original characters. But all I do is fanart, so they're not even mine to begin with.

But that's not even what's causing me any drama lately. It's more then fandom-y part of dA. I've been getting into a lot of fandom discussions lately, all which have remained somewhat civil. But that's great- it's like, dA is how I connect to the fandom, rather than through livejournal or tumblr or something. So that being the case, just know that if you leave a comment on one of my drawings saying something absolutely ridiculous about the characters, you better be prepared for an argument. I mean, if someone wrote something awful about my drawing, I would likely ignore it or just humor it. But if you say something stupid, like Sirius is a monster or Lily is a cold hearted, bitchy, gold-digging whore, well, bring it on. Those comments just give me this strange mixture amusement and outrage, and you can bet I'm going to jump in to defend them, whether it's left on my deviation or not.

And I won't be mean about, I always try to say things nicely. But it's tough sometimes, when it seems like the other person is so blinded by their love of Severus Snape that they bash every single other character in the series to put him on a higher pedestal. I mean seriously, appreciate the character for who he is. Don't blame his flaws on Rowling misrepresenting him, or 'hating' him... she can't misrepresent him, she created him. I'm not saying you have to love the Marauders also, but don't defend your love of Snape on the basis of morality, because you will lose every time. Especially where Lily is concerned. That girl's only flaw was defending Snape for as long as she did.
Also, claiming Lily is a 'cruel' person makes Snape's love for her seem pretty shallow. And while I'm a fan of Snape and Lily's relationship, we know it's a bit creepy. We see him look at Lily with 'greed', we see him being possessive over her. He's not this sweet, sappy, drooling idiot. Sheesh.

Yeah so that's my rant. I could've made this way, way longer, but I'll spare you. I also spared you of the creepy header, you're welcome :)

Ok, I've just read an essay on the i-net about Snape. And now I get it. And the worst thing is, I thought the essay must be completely objective and sincere, since other essays on that same website and from the same author were just that. But boooy was I wrong. I couldn't even finish reading that essay because it was such a load of rubbish  smh....

You probably don't want to do this to yourself, but here it is:
